For single parents there is never enough time to do everything. You must PRIORITIZE.
Make every minute count. You have waaaaay too much to do and not enough time to do it.
Delegate every chance you get. But don’t take advantage of others.
Do something constructive while you’re waiting.
Make a daily list of things to do that day and stick to it.
Cluster as many things together as you can.
Save short errands for a once a month marathon.
Realize that every item doesn’t have to be done today.
Take a power nap while you wait.
It’s the most important thing in your and your children’s lives, just behind love.
Handle paper only once – use a file system with manila folders.
Don’t sweat the small stuff – it can wait.
It’s the BIG STUFF that really matters.
Use your kitchen timer to time such tasks as homework, reading, checking emails, talking with friends.
Remember the math – only 24 hours in a day…
Sleep 6 to 7 hours
Bathe, dress/undress, get ready 1 hour
Eat / cook 2 hours
Work / school 8 hours
OTHER (your children) 6 hours
Full day 24 hours
To beat the math – you must crunch time!
Time parents spend with their children: 54% in 1950, 18% today
A day is only 86,400 seconds. The seconds just keep on ticking away.
