Exercise – Stay Healthy (Both for you and your children)
Physical exercise is one of the smartest and positive things you can do for yourself and your children.
EXERCISE! Just do it!
Find a physical activity that you enjoy.
Exercise while waiting on your children, while they practice or do homework.
Join an exercise club, YMCA, YWCA or see if your church has an exercise class.
Find a friend, neighbor, work mate or one of your children to exercise with.
Walk with your children. What a great way to get to interact with your children.
Your children need to exercise too.
Exercise at least 30 minutes, 4 days a week.
Pick a time to walk in your neighborhood or at the park that fits your schedule. Choose a time either in the morning, at lunch time or in the evening. Walk at least 30 minutes.
Becoming a healthy person – you also become a better parent!
Your BMI (Body Mass Index) will help determine whether or not you or your children are over weight. Multiply your weight (lbs) by 705, then divide by height (inches) twice.
Underweight less than 18.5
Healthy 18.5 – 24.9
Overweight 25 – 29.9
Obese over 30
If you exercise, it won’t take long before you will feel new energy rising up in you.
You WILL feel better… Guaranteed!
“Those who think they have not time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness.”
“A man’s health can be judged by which he takes
two at a time – pills or stairs.”
